Rudraksha are available in two variety based on from where it comes from, one is Nepali and the other is Indonesian.

This question is often asked, as to which of the two is better or more effective.

As per our experience both are effective but depending on the requirement one can use Nepali or Indonesian.

For example for wearing a Rudraksha Mala, Indonesian is better and more preferred as the size of the Rudraksha is small and depending on your taste you can choose any size from 6mm to 10mm, but with Nepali Rudraksha minimum size that is available is 15-16mm generally it is 17-18mm so it hard to wear 108 beads mala.

Generally for higher mukhi Rudraksha that people wear 1pcs as Pendant or in combination of 2 to 14 Rudraksha, Nepali Rudraksha is preferred. Nepali Ruraksha Size is bigger so considered more effective, but it costs more so if you are in tight on budget or if you want to wear more in number in a mala then one can use Indonesian Rudraksha too.

It has been a wonderful journey. We started in March 2013 and in 2 years besides facing some server issue in 2013 September to November 2013 when our store went down quite frequently, it has been very exciting and successfully journey.

Our store Rudrakshabeads.org was getting down frequently due to the reason we decided to change our hosting service provider. We took the problem as opportunity and upgraded our store front with new advance version of the software and also restructured the store front and added some very useful and exciting products to our line. In coming months we will continue to do so.

Unfortunately this upgradation forced us to remove order history of our customers, but we have been able to retain registration data of our valued customers. As a result all the customers will be able to login to there account with their registered Email Id and password but will not be able to see their old order history. Before the migration we had shipped most of the orders and sent thier tracking no to customers, but since we get orders every day those few pending orders will get order updates on thier email. We will clear all the pending orders whose record are not available online in couple of days.

What does it mean by facets or Mukhi of Rudraksha?

Rudraksha Beads actually is fruit with seeds. Mukhi or facets actually shows how many seeds should be inside the beads. The markings, well marked in Nepali beads and line marking in Indonesian beads, are indicative of nuber of seeds inside.

The effect of rudraksha on human mind, body and general luck depends on number of seeds it contains.

The Tears of Lord Siva known as Rudraksha are the original Vedic Beads of Power worn by the Yogis of India and the Himalayas for thousands of years to maintain health and to gain self empowerment and fearless life on their path to Enlightenment and Liberation.

Indonesian and Nepali rudraksha beads come from same famiy of tree and are of similar internal anatomy and effectiveness. Indonesian beads are much cheaper than Nepali ones because they are more abundently available.

Nepalese beads are available in sizes from 10mm to 42mm. 18mm beads are most easily available size.

Indonesain beads are vailable in sizes from 4mm to 30mm. 12mm beads are most easily available size.

Mukhi (Facets)  Comparision

In Nepalese beads facets are marked with very clear groovs, whereas in Indonesain beads the facets are marked with thin line, though internal structure is same in both the beads. Both the Nepalese and Indonesian Rudraksha Beads have the same no. of seeds inside them as the number of Mukhas, thus their internal structure is almost identical.

Availability and demand

Availabilty of higher mukhi beads are very rare. Nepali beads availability is much less than Indonesian one and demand for Nepali beads are high, as a result cost of Nepali beads is many fold higher than Indonesian cunterparts.
